Vying for the Viscount by Kristi Hunter

There is nothing better in this world than a good Regency story which of course includes Lords & Ladies,  horses, balls & assemblies, family drama, match-making mamas, sparring language, some mystery, and of course a satisfying romance. Kristi Hunter’s new book Vying for the Viscount is all that a Regency story should be plus it is filled with Ms. Hunter’s wonderful wit and explores the faith journey of the main characters Bianca and Hudson.

I can not tell you the last time I enjoyed such a wonderful Regency story. I was transported to Regency England where I loved learning about horse racing, and fell in love with the main characters Bianca and Hudson.  Both are love-able, interesting, and awkward enough to endear them to you forever.  Bianca’s family will keep you guessing throughout the story on whether you should love or hate them.  Truly a great read that Regency lovers do not want to miss. I highly recommend Vying for the Viscount.

I was given a copy of this book by the publisher and not required to write a review.

A Dazzle of Diamonds by Liz Johnson

A Dazzle of Diamonds
(Georgia Coast Romance – book 3)

Penelope Hunter loves her job as the events manager at one of Savannah’s premier historic venues–until her ex-fiancĂ© walks into her office with his new bride-to-be. To make matters worse, a scheming social matriarch is intent on seeing Penelope fired, especially if she insists on being seen with Tucker Westbrook.

Since returning from serving two tours in the Middle East, Tucker has built a thriving security company. His work is nearly as stabilizing as his friendship with Penelope, who has been by his side since childhood. But when the lone candidate for county sheriff goads him, Tucker loses his cool and ends up on the ballot–and on the receiving end of a smear campaign claiming the Westbrooks were traitors to the South.

To clear his name, Tucker and Penelope must join forces to find the truth behind a 150-year-old lost treasure. But the more time they spend together, the closer she comes to losing her job–and falling helplessly in love.

A Dazzle of Diamonds is the third book in the Georgia Coast Romance series.  The story follows best friends Penelope Hunter and Tucker Westbrook  as they navigate their friendship, romance, faith, a mystery, an old diary, and discover that their past does not control their future.  It is a wonderful story that had me smiling and sighing. The secondary characters such as Aunt Shirley  were delightful as well and added to the story.  Being set in the beautiful town of Savannah added to the southern charm of the story.

A Dazzle of Diamond by Liz Johnson exceeded my expectations. It is a wonderful read with southern charm and a sweet romance between friends. Liz Johnson expertly weaves in Biblical truths about who we are in Christ.  I highly recommend A Dazzle of Diamonds.

I was given a copy by the publisher and not required to write a review.

Ready to Trust by Tina Radcliffe

Because the picture of the main character, Reece Rainbolt, is on the cover of Tina Radcliffe’s new book, Ready to Trust,  you will want to read it.  Trust me!   This is the second book in the Hearts of Oklahoma Romance series and is set in Rebel, Oklahoma.  Claire Ballard and Reece have known each other since high school and have a past that includes a daughter that Reece has just learned about.  Both join our story with issues from their past that they work through to find themselves and find true love. You will enjoy meeting them both and by the end want to have dinner with both of them over at Rebel Ranch.

Ms. Radcliffe weaves together a story that is entertaining, delightful, and encourages you to dream big.

Honestly, if after looking at the cover you are not interested in reading Ready to Trust then I think you seriously need to think about checking your pulse. I highly recommend Ready to Trust.

Raising Honor by Jill Lynn

I was so excited to read Jill Lynn’s latest book
Raising Honor which is part of her Colorado Grooms series.  Jill Lynn never disappoints.  This sweet story involves Charlie, our heroine, Rykar, our hero and a sweet foster child named Honor. The story has fabulous characters who are interesting and real which made them so endearing.  I was rooting for both Rykar and Charlie and loved watching their lives unfold.

As someone who is an adoptive mom and also has siblings through adoption, I am very critical when I read a story about foster parenting or adoption.  I felt like Jill did a tremendous job being true to the process, reflecting fostering in a positive yet realistic way, and she was respectful to all who were involved. (foster parents, birth parents, relatives, case workers, and the children )  It was a pleasure to read such a well written and realistic story.

Raising Honor comes out in paperback July 21, 2020 and ebook on August 1, 2020.

I highly recommend Raising Honor and believe you will be glad that you read it.

Carolina Breeze by Denise Hunter

Catch The Breeze

Carolina Breeze by Denise Hunter is all that a romance should in the second book of the Bluebell Inn series. Denise Hunter does not disappoint with a wonderful setting, great characters, some mystery, and a lovely romance. Her main character, Mia is looking for a place to escape her life, and Levi, our hero, is trying desperately to do what his dying father asked and keep his family together. The two of them fight the demons of their past and try to work to change their future. It was a great story with a satisfying ending that I can highly recommend. I was given a copy by the publisher and not required to write a positive review.

Denise Hunter is the internationally published bestselling author of 30 contemporary romances. In 2016 two of Denise's novels,

Review:  You have to love a story that starts in the middle of a train robbery and at that moment the main characters are introduced to each other.  You know from that point that this is going to be a good story and you need to hang on for the ride.

Jen Turano’s new book Storing Up Trouble takes place during the Gilded Age in Chicago where history is being made each day.  Our heroine, Beatrix Waterbury,  is a member of the New York 400 and trying to find purpose in her life.  Norman Nesbit, our hero, is rather lost and needs direction. Adventure pursues them both, and together they navigate Chicago society with many great friends including Beatrix’s eccentric aunt, a knowledgeable butler, and Norman’s sidekick and friend,Theodosia. I found myself wanting to visit Beatrix’s aunt and stay for a while.

Jen Turano’s new book Storing up Trouble is filled with adventure, mystery, moments in the suffragette movement, endearing characters and funny moments that have you laughing out loud.  I enjoyed reading Storing up Trouble and highly recommend it.
