I look forward to fall each year as Joanna Politano publishes her latest historical novel. The Lost Melody is set in England in 1886 and exceeded my expectations. In the story we meet Vivienne, a pianist, whose father has recently passed. She finds out she has inherited her father’s ward who resides in an asylum. She enters the asylum herself and starts trying to put the pieces together.

This story is written lyrically like a wonderful symphony. The language is rich, the characters have depth, and it is delightfully mysterious. Each character has a story that unfolded as the book progressed. I felt like I was sitting beside them as they told their story. The love interest was unexpected, and beautifully demonstrated sacrificial love. I expected this to be a dark and sad story, but it was truly one of hope and redemption.

The Lost Melody by Joanna Politano is a deep and thoughtful novel filled with mystery, love, and the joy of seeing the darkness overcome. I was very invested in this thoughtful well written story and I highly recommend it.

A Midnight Dance by Joanna Politano

A Midnight Dance by Joanna Politano is an absolutely marvelous story!  I was drawn in from the first page, truly loved each moment of reading this book.   Ella Blythe is a dancer in Victorian England at the Craven Theater.  Her story is exquisitely written and I honestly danced along with her in this beautifully written story.  The author paints pictures with words that are incredible to read.  The characters were amazing, and I was guessing until the end what would happen as the mystery unfolded.  

A Midnight Dance is a story of mystery, romance ,learning to accept yourself, and has a surprise ending that will make you want to start reading the book all over again.  Such a delightful read that I highly recommend!

WOW!  The Love Note by Joanna Politano is truly enchanting.  Joanna Politano has created an amazing story that draws you in deeply and beckons your heart to reimagine the love God has for you and your own love story.  

I was delighted to enter the world of The Love Note.  Willa Duval, the main character is lively, thoughtful, and refreshing. She finds a letter in an old desk that she is determined to return to its rightful recipient.  Highlights for me were the setting at Crestwicke manor, the mystery woven through the story,  the romance in new and old relationships, and the twists and turns that lead to an incredibly satisfying  ending.  (Insert big happy sigh here)  

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time spent reading The Love Note.  I look forward to having this book on my shelf and taking it out to read again and again.  It is a fantastic story that I highly recommend!
