The Last Way Home by Liz Johnson

The Last Way Home by Liz Johnson is the second in her Prince Edward Island Shores series. Eli Ross left home eleven years ago, and is back. Violet has been working making pottery with Mama Potts for many years, but no one seems to know anything about her life before she came to Prince Edward Islands.

I was enchanted by this story of two broken people who must find a way through their brokenness. The characters were very relatable and the setting on Prince Edward Island was perfect. The author does an amazing job sharing both Violet and Eli’s story from their point of view endearing you to the characters. Both of them have secrets, feel unworthy and need to forgive themselves.   As readers we get to watch them both change, fall in love, and be transformed into who they were meant to be.

I love stories of redemption and this is a beautifully written one.   Plus there were some great hockey games, road trips around the island, and some very swoony kisses.    I highly recommend The Last Way Home.

I was given a copy by the publisher and not required to write a positive review.
