Landin in Trouble by Brittany Larsen

Landin’ in Trouble by Brittany Larsen is a sweet romantic comedy that is part of the Creekville Kisses series. It is a stand alone, but there are other characters from the series.  Landon is living at his Grandmother’s house after he was fired from his job at a law firm in Washington DC.  Brynn is a sweet complicated character who is working  on her life as she works at a daycare, as a yoga instructor and her friend Dizzy’s Goga camp for kids.  They have history with each other and the story goes back and forth in time with their history.

I very much enjoyed this story.  The author brought in the back story while you as the reader are learning the present in  alternating POVs.  I was very invested in Landon and Brynn’s relationship.  The story had many laugh out loud moments and Landon’s grandmother is probably one of my favorite secondary characters this year.  The author has a beautiful way of writing about the hard things of life with humor, compassion, and a growth mentality.  It is refreshing.

Landin’ in Trouble is a romantic comedy with heart!   The characters are beautifully flawed with depth making this a unique happily ever after.  I recommend the story.

I was given a copy of the book by the publisher and not required to write a positive review.

TW: Eating Disorders.

Brittany Larsen loves stories and firmly believes every story is a love story. Or at least should be. She has published four Sweet RomComs, three contemporary retellings of Jane Austen novels, and one novella. Her most recent work is Dizzy in Love, a sweet romcom. Idaho will always be where she’s from, but she calls California home.
